Today, almost all Rice we eat are fully polished rice. Polished rice is one in which outer bran is completely removed to make the rice look white. Traditional rice vary in colors from red, black, purple, orange and even green. Outer layer of rice called bran. This layer is very rich in nutritions that are essential for our body. But, today, outer bran is removed to make the rice look white and thin. Hybrid rice we eat are inherently low nutritious. Polishing and removing the outer bran makes our rice very poor at nutrition leading to to a nutrition crisis for our body. This become worse when we use synthetic chemicals for farming.


The outer bran of rice removed in milling, is collected and processed to make Rice Bran Oil. This oil is being advertised as nutritious and healthy. People believe it. Why not take the brown rice which has outer bran layer intact instead of rice bran oil?





As a solution to all these problems, we have cultivated traditional rices in our farm without any chemicals and process them with outer bran layer of rice intact to give you traditional brown rice.

Cooking brown rice:


This traditional brown rice require 12 hours of soaking. Soak it overnight to cook in the morning. Cooking using pan is recommended for high nutritional retention.


However, if you are using a pressure cooker,


*Add 2 tumbler of water for 1 tumbler rice.


*Allow it to boil in low flame. Give it about 14 whistle.


This is a general instructions. You can modify it according to your own needs. 


Since this rice is high in nutrition, you can't eat the quantity of regular rice. We recommend to eat traditional rice in place of regular rice. In the beginning have half the quantity of regular rice If you eat, 1 plate of ordinary rice, you will need only half a plate of traditional rice. You will get equivalent energy and nutrition. This rice is very good for diabetes patients and also helps in prevention of diabetics.
